RE:MOVE

Re:Move is an overview of the author’s photographic collaboration with contemporary dance group EnKnap, which has been going on since 2012. The photographs he creates at their performances are more than just documents of the sequence of movements. Photography as a static medium can never truthfully and completely capture the complexity of the movement that forms a choreography, but it’s power lies elsewhere: by removing the motion from a movement it removes it’s timeness as well and instead gives it durability. Through that a movement becomes infinite, with the dancers eternally captured inside it.
